PVC and environment.
PVC and the environment. A commitment to ecology.
As a responsible manufacturer of high-quality profile systems for window manufacturing and a founding member of the recycling initiative, Rewindo GmbH, ecology has been an important subject at Salamander for many years. That is why we are always making efforts to find solutions that are in unison with our environment. For a more liveable future.
PVC. Logically ecological.
PVC is an ecologically compatible material, because manufacturing and processing of PVC requires comparatively little fossil resources and energy. PVC is comprised of around 57% rock salt, which is available in almost unlimited quantities, and only 43% crude oil. PVC products for the construction sector are lightweight, long-lasting and have low maintenance requirements, and are therefore extremely environmentally friendly.
Furthermore, PVC lends itself exceptionally well to recycling. For over 10 years now, a closed circle of recyclable PVC windows has been implemented. Scraps that are produced during the manufacturing process and vinyl windows that are no longer in use are completely separated according to materials and reprocessed.
PVC. Material with qualities.
As a versatile, high-quality material, products made from PVC have convincing advantages. They are weather, oil and UV resistant, are flexible or impact-resistant, can be dyed and are harmless to health. PVC materials can be used for many applications that demand the highest quality materials.
