Perfected sealing systems

Two sealing systems have proven themselves in window manufacturing: the rebate and centre seal system. In both systems, the window has several sealing levels.

The rebate seal system has an inner and outer seal. While the outer level protects against most of the driving rain, the inner level prevents air infiltration. Any rain that enters is drained through slits. This combined "role playing” creates an excellent seal against driving rain and air infiltration.

In the centre seal system, the outer seal is hidden inside the rebate. Water which enters is stopped by a slight gap between the sash and the frame and is led through an appropriately-dimensioned drainage chamber. Here the inner seal also prevents air infiltration.

If processed well, as is guaranteed by SIP, there are no differences in quality between the sealing systems. On the contrary, both meet all requirements for the toughest operational demands.
